After a lengthy bout with cancer, David Bowie has passed.

As a community of ballroom dancers, we remember the legendary musician, and actor, for his showmanship, creativity, and, especially, his music. He will be missed, but we can all dance to his legacy.

David Bowie Ballroom Dance Music

1.  Fame

Dance:  West Coast Swing

This track has two things that fit perfectly with West Coast Swing:  A great bassline, and plenty of attitude.

2. Heroes

Dance:  Rumba

This song shows emotion and vulnerability - great for a passionate dance like Rumba.

3. Dancing In The Street

Dance: Swing, Cha-Cha

A pair of party dances for a pair of epic voices. This Bowie and Jagger collaboration is a dance party favorite which blends perfectly with Swing and Cha-Cha.

4. Let's Dance

Dance: Hustle or Cha-Cha

This song should be your anthem as a ballroom dancer.

5. As The World Falls Down - From the movie Labryrinth

Dance:  Opens as a Waltz, finishes as a Bolero

If you are looking for a great song to dedicate to David Bowie as your next dance routine - this is it.  It's hard enough to find a decent Waltz, impossible to find one that goes into a Bolero.
