With an extensive dance resume that includes words like Beyonce and So You Think You Can Dance, Morris is one of the long-rumored celebrity favorites to make the show that has finally jumped on board officially.
Here's a bit more about this, sure to be, favorite on Dancing with the Stars Season 24.

1. Okay, She's a Dancer
She began dancing when she was 9 and studied things like jazz, tap, and contemporary.
2. She's a Mom
Not that this makes her an instant reason for being on the show, but the fact that Morris has a family immediately makes her a source of inspiration for any parents out there that can feel like they need to trade their passion for their kids.
3. She is Versatile
Morris is much more than just a dancer, just like the show that made her famous, Glee, was more than just a singing show. She's got great timing, on the dance floor and in her acting ability, and that will certainly play a big part in the many characters necessary for each week of the show.
1. She Auditioned for So You Think You Can Dance
It was 2006, Season 2, and she survived Vegas Week, but narrowly missed the final selections on the show.
2. She Really is Funny
Morris co-wrote and appeared in a January 2011 video for the comedy website Funny or Die. "Nuthin' But A Glee Thang" a parody of "Nuthin' but a 'G' Thang" by Dr. Dre featuring Snoop Dogg. [Wikipedia]
3. Backup Dancer
Yes, Morris is on a first name basis with Queen Bey herself. What started as a job as a backup dancer for Beyonce ended up leading her to become part of a "mini promotional tour" for the hit track "Single Ladies", where she performed on Saturday Night Live, the Today Show, and even the Grammy Awards.
4. Choreographer turned Cheerleader
Morris got her shot on Glee when she was hired to teach Beyonce's Single Ladies dance routine to the actors on the show. It turns out that the show was actively looking for another cheerleader, and Morris was actively looking for an acting job.
5. Family Time
Morris married her college sweetheart, Taylor Hubbell. The couple got married in 2015 and have two boys, Elijah (3), and Owen (1).
Final Thought
It would be easy to write off anything Morris does and attribute her success to jazz, tap, or Beyonce. The truth is, ballroom dancing is its own discipline.
Are there some built in advantages to having a dance background? Sure.
But not enough of an advantage that we shouldn't pay close attention to the mother of two who puts in all the extra hours away from her family to prove to herself that she still has it.
