Are you throwing a Halloween Party this year?

You probably have everything planned; scary zombies in the corner, fake spider webs hanging from the ceiling, and even Halloween themed food for everyone to munch on. But have you thought about the music you'll be playing at your party?

You can type Halloween into your Spotify search bar, but you might end up with some cheesy and some un-danceable music! Lucky for you, we've put together a Halloween themed list with suggested dances so that you can dance the night away and sitll keep your spooky theme!

The Ultimate Halloween Party Playlist for Social Dancers

1. Halloween - The Movie Theme Song

Okay, maybe you can't really dance to this song, but it will set the mood for your party. If you want to keep the spooky theme, start with this song.

2. Thriller - by Michael Jackson

You, technically, can't throw a Halloween Party without this Michael Jackson hit. If you know the Thriller Dance, go for it! If not, you can always dance a little Cha Cha or Hustle.

3. Monster Mash

This one should not be overlooked when making a Halloween Playlist. Yes it's cheesy, but it's a classic! Plus this Rumba gives everyone a change to catch their breath after dancing to Thriller.

4. The Addams Family Theme Song

And while we're on the subject of classics, let's not forget about The Addams Family. Tango is generally considered a passionate dance if you channel this with a Macabre theme, you will get a dance that will make Morticia and Gomez proud.

5. Heads Will Roll - by the Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs

Now it might be time to cool down all the passion in the room. I recommend this Cha Cha by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs to kick the party into high gear.

6. Supersition - by Stevie Wonder

Keep the flow of the party with this Stevie Wonder classic. It's great for West Coast Swing and is keeping with the Halloween theme.

7. Mack The Knife - by Bobby Darin

Every party needs a good Foxtrot mixer and this one is it! This Bobby Darin favorite makes death sound classy.

8. Dark Waltz - by Hayley Westerna

This beautiful Waltz by Hayley Westerna is just eerie enough to kepe the Halloween theme going. Every party needs a good waltz and this one will keep the ghosts floating across the floor.

9. Aha - by Pentatonix

If you haven't heard of Pentatonix, look them up! They are generally known for their Christmas Albums, but this one broke the mold with the zombie-themed thriller. This one takes the Tango from passionate to dramatic.

10. Rocky Horror Time Warp

If you want to make sure that everyone is happy with the music this evening, make sure you don't overlook your Rocky Horror enthusiasts. This song is fun but keeps with the Halloween theme. Dance Lindy Hop to this and get everyone sweating.

11. Disturbia - by Rihanna

We might as well keep everyone moving with this Cha Cha by Rhianna. It's hip and creepy!

12. Five Nights at Freddy's - by the Living Tombstone

This is a newer song, but this should make the kids at the party happy. Dance hustle to this song by The Living Tombstone.

13. Werewolves of London - by Warren Zevon

It's time for some Swing and this song by Warren Zevon fills all of the requirements for this party.

14. I Put A Spell On You - by Screamin' J. Hawkins

As we're nearing the end of the party, make sure that you keep things upbeat without playing too many of the same dances over and over again. This Viennese Waltz by Screamin' J Hawkins is perfect for mixing things up.

15. Season of the Witch - by Donovan

This song doesn't sound scary, but it was featured in American Horror Story and is on the soundtrack of Tim Burton's Dark Shadows. This song by Donovan is a great Bolero and might be fun for quizzing everyone on the scary movies and shows in which it has been featured.

16. Somebody's Watching Me - by Rockwell

This song by Rockwell is definitely a crowd pleaser as you near the end of your party. You can dance Hustle or Cha Cha to this 80's hit.

17. Haunted - by Poe

This song by Poe is super creepy and is great for Bolero or West Coast Swing.

18. Midnight City - by M83

Keep the creepy theme rolling as the night comes to a close. You can dance Syncopated Hustle or West Coast Swing to this song by M83.

19. Psycho Killer - by The Talking Heads

This song by The Talking Heads is a great triple swing to round out your party.

20. Ghostbusters - by Ray Parker Jr.

There are lots of versions of this song, but I really like the original by Walk The Moon. It's time to get rid of all the ghosts and goblins from the night. Call the Ghost Busters and dance a little Cha Cha!
