Arthur Murray Live Featured Speakers
BURLINGAME, CALIFORNIA - There is an Arthur Murray Professional training convention in town, and some of your favorite Bay Area professionals have been asked to speak.
The Arthur Murray Admin Team
Brienne Thompson, from Arthur Murray Redwood City, was asked to give a training session to the Office Managers throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Her presentation is designed to help improve a new student's transition into their first dance lesson as easily as possible.
Charlotte Keezer, from Arthur Murray Walnut Creek, understands busy.
With the Walnut Creek location growing into a top Arthur Murray location since it opened in 2011, multitasking is not an option - it's a necessity. Her presentation to the Office Managers in the area emphasizes tools she has utilized to run an effective front desk.
Chris Lynam was asked to follow up with his knowledge on the changing roles for office managers, and how to utilize blogging to help create a better web presence.
After assisting with training the winning team in the Arthur Murray All Star Skills competition, Chris was asked to give a keynote presentation with his longtime friend and former co-worker, Juan De Dios Garcia, on ways to develop as an All Star Teacher.
The New Student Team
Arthur Murray Redwood City was the most successful school for new students in 2015.
This means that they excelled in helping non-dancers learn to dance, and created dance programs that matched their dancing goals. Members of the staff were invited to speak and share their expertise: Alex Doan, Annaliza Pena, and Sergio Garcia.
Dancing The Next Level
Participating in her first training weekend as an Arthur Murray Supervisor, Tonia Kosovich was invited to give a training session on high level dance technique. Although she has traveled the world working as a dance consultant for Arthur Murray Dance Studios, this is Tonia's debut as a featured presenter for this weekend convention.
Franchisee Training
No stranger to the speaking roster, Daisey Lynam was invited to share her insight on how to develop high level teachers into managers in her session for the other Arthur Murray owners.
With healthy, long-term growth a staple of the Arthur Murray organization, her tips fall right in line to continue to develop new opportunities for staff throughout the company.
Final Thought
The purpose of these training weekends is to constantly move, shape, and enhance the skills to teach dancing the Arthur Murray way. Each and every presenter asked to speak was also in attendance to learn - regardless of their place within the company. An Arthur Murray teacher is a constant student, willing to abandon their comfort zone whether that's as a participant, or a keynote speaker.
So if you've ever wondered why your teachers are so passionate about your learning, it's because they feel what you feel more than you may realize.
They are students too.
