Arthur Murray Walnut Creek Finally Wins the Big One
WALNUT CREEK, CALIFORNIA - This year, Arthur Murray Walnut Creek had its five year anniversary. Over the last 5 years, the school on Newell Avenue has grown faster than a 13 year old future basketball pro. With all of the accolades for the staff and studio, there has been one award that has eluded them:
Winning the six week Arthur Murray Festival.
Walnut Creek has served as the dance studio equivalent of the quote "always a bridesmaid, and never a bride". Until now.
For the first time in their history, Arthur Murray Walnut Creek has won the Top Studio award in the Spring Festival. "It's a huge credit to the staff, managers, and especially the students. For Walnut Creek to have been so close, for so long, this win was well deserved" says co-owner, Daisey Lynam.
What is the Spring Festival?
Television has sweeps, high school has spirit week, and Arthur Murray has a festival. It's a ratings competition held twice a year (Spring and Fall) for six weeks. Each school competes with dance studios of similar size within the global dance organization to determine which school has the most studio activity. The winning school, executives, and teachers will receive awards at a banquet held in October.
