Highlights and Reactions from the Arthur Murray District Dance Camp

In case you missed it, there was a District Dance Camp on June 10th, and there were a couple of United States Champions teaching it. 

Highlights and Reactions to the District Dance Camp

Emmanuel Pierre Antoine and Liana Churliova shimmied, dipped, and hip motioned their way into everyone's hearts and minds. The Arthur Murray students and teachers in attendance left the day with sore feet, but ready for more action.

Emmanuel and Liana dazzled the crowd at the District Showcase, but the District Dance Camp gave students a chance to do the same.  From the first Rumba session of the day until the final, no-holds-barred Mambo, this pair taught with passion and boundless energy. 

Liana Churliova

Liana honed fundamentals like arm styling, hip motion, and footwork.  Her attention to detail, and approach, emphasized creating an ability to dance with improved balance, control, and confidence.

In addition to the non-stop humor and master class on timing, Emmanuel also delivered incredible concepts on how to approach each dance, and your mentality as a dancer. With 

The Staff

It's easy in any group setting to feel a bit lost in the crowd. Understanding this, and the scale of the event itself, was the rationale behind having over 50 Arthur Murray professionals in attendance.  In doing so, they were able to create a support system for all of the students who participated.  

The Future

Although there were requests for this to be a monthly activity, it is safe to say that the District Dance Camp will return in June of 2017.  Maybe by that point everyone's feet will have recovered. Here's what the staff and students thought of the camp.
