The Flash Formation began as a challenge to build teamwork, and excitement, a few weeks before a Medal Ball years ago. The, pardon the pun, "Flash" of an idea ha since turned into a student, and teacher, favorite. The friendly rivalry, the great dancing, and the team spirit all give the event the feeling of a Homecoming game - except with ballroom dancing, and grown adults.

Every person who participates makes a contribution. It doesn't have to be a death defying split leap either. Students of all skill, and interest, levels coming together for a common purpose is never a bad thing. In fact, throughout the process of rehearsing the formation, you may end up meeting some new people. That student who only comes to take their lesson on the day when you work late may be the very person you're dancing next to.
The more people you know, the more comfortable you feel. The more comfortable you feel, the easier it is to learn. So make some time, join the formation, and learn a dance, have some laughs, and give your school a chance to win the trophy.
You don't need to be a perfect dancer to make a perfect contribution.
