Your Dance Studio is Just Like Voodoo Doughnuts
Are you dying to dance but wondering if you would really fit in at Arthur Murray?
Well, let me ask you this: Could you find something to eat at Voodoo Donuts?
Like the iconic donut shop, Arthur Murray has room for everyone! You may find yourself in one of these sweet profiles, or you may satisfy a craving we didn’t know we had!
The Old Fashioned: plain cake doughnut
This dancer has lived a pleasant life filled with safe choices, but has had enough.
She may start out mild-mannered, but just wait until you see her break free from that pattern and shine!
Bacon Maple bar: Raised yeast doughnut with maple frosting and bacon on top
This one has been through some SEASONS in life.
We’ve got some stuff to work through, and dancing is just the way to do it. There may be a salty exterior, but that’s just making space to process some feelings. This dancer couldn’t be sweeter underneath that layer of bacon!
Raspberry Romeo: Raised yeast shell glazed and filled with raspberry jelly
This guy. Every studio has at least one.
A classic performer, at his best in the spotlight. You’ll find Romeo at every studio showcase and he just hates to miss a Dance-O-Rama. If you want to chat him up, just ask what solo routines he’s working on at the moment!
Portland Cream: Raised yeast doughnut filled with Bavarian cream with chocolate on the top and two eyeballs
Now here is a true artist.
You won’t find this deep, chocolate covered gal working on things without searching for the meaning and purpose and Bavarian cream within them.
Memphis Mafia: Fried dough with banana chunks and cinnamon sugar covered in a glaze with chocolate frosting, peanut butter, peanuts and chocolate chips on top
Banana. Peanuts. Peanut butter. Cinnamon.
This dancer wants to learn ALL. THE. THINGS. There shall be no high tailing it to the water cooler when a tango comes on at the party, he’ll even dance around the floor solo if he’s short a partner!
Voodoo Doll Donut: Raised yeast doughnut filled with raspberry jelly topped with chocolate frosting and a pretzel stake
A chocolate covered, jelly filled, armed and legged donut. With a pretzel stake driven through its tiny donut heart.
There’s one or two in every studio. Complex. Full of surprises. A little morbid, maybe. And more passionate about dancing than anything else. You really can’t do without this character, they are what gives Voodoo its name!
Chuckles: Raised yeast doughnut with chocolate frosting dipped in mocha powder and topped with peanuts and caramel & chocolate drizzle
This dancer probably owns a successful company.
She’s always caffeinating, always pushing herself, always competing (with her own last performance). This dancer is motivated by any challenge. They earn the achievement awards, they push to graduate from their level in time for Medal Ball, they love the thrill of a Dance-O-Rama. And she’s often a social pillar in the studio, she wants everyone to have as much fun as she’s having!
Captain My Captain: Raised yeast doughnut topped with Cap’n Crunch
Like the Cap’n Crunch topped donut, this dancer is old school. A classic.
They appreciate tradition. He loves telling stories, the tango, and respect.
Final Thought
Do you see yourself here? If not, don’t worry, this is only a small sampling of the donuts offered at Voodoo. And an even smaller sampling of people who fit in perfectly at Arthur Murray (hint: it’s all of you)!
