Meet Our DWTS 24 Celebrity Dream Team
While the America waits in anticipation for the official announcement of the Dancing with the Stars 24 lineup, we decided to put together our own Dream Team cast.
Hundreds of suggestions and plenty of Facebook Page discussions turned into four polls, and these thirteen celebrities. Here's who our Arthur Murray Live community chose.
13. Alyssa Milano
This isn't some 80's actor reclamation project. Alyssa Milano is as relevant today as she was in her days with Tony Danza on Who's the Boss, and she's also an entrepreneur and Mom to boot.
12. Mark Wahlburg
While there's probably a greater chance that Wahlburg becomes a producer on the show before he becomes a contestant, demonstrating his dance ability would certainly make the case for him being one of the most versatile actors in Hollywood.
11. Mark Paul Gosselaar
The Saved by the Bell star would get his chance to see if he can outdo his ex co-star, and DWTS alum, Mario Lopez. He's a versatile actor, with plenty of personality that would go a long way for the voters.
10. Brett Michaels
Michaels had the misfortune of being in the middle of the pack in our most popular DWTS poll to date. As a musician, he's shown his adaptability. As a TV personality, he's done the same. Dancing with the Stars can add another layer to his ever expanding resume.
9. Simon Cowell
Richard Hung may have a better chance of reviving American Idol, competing on the show, winning, and having a love affair with Taylor Swift. Nevertheless, seeing Cowell on the opposite end of a judging panel would probably be his personal version of torture, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be entertaining.
8. Sofia Vergara
This would be an epic win for ABC. With Vergara's stock in Hollywood in a constant state of trending upward, it may be a case of "we should have offered this to her before she became a megastar". We're keeping our fingers crossed.
7. Johnny Weir
The bad boy of ice skating taking his talents to the dance floor? Yes please. Many male contestants take a few weeks to settle in with the costumes, the lights, and the commitment to the character. Should Weir get the call, we think he may already have all of that planned before the first rehearsal.
6. Simone Biles
Would she do great on the show? Yes. Would she probably win the whole thing? Yes. Would this create enough outrage against Olympic gymnasts having an unfair advantage that they are outlawed from DWTS competition forever? Yes.
5. John Stamos
The guy doesn't age, is a walking men's hairstyle magazine, and could probably be the key to saving Twitter if he joins the show. He's been a popular choice in our Facebook discussions, and he was one of our original 5 Celebrities we wanted to see on the show.
4. Tiffani Amber-Theissen
Maybe ABC should bring back the entire cast of Saved by the Bell to compete against the entire cast of the Wonder Years? Theissen is still a stunner that could make any dance costume look great, and the show would be great with her on it.
3. Shemar Moore
So the guy is good looking, a former soap opera star, and has millions of fans swooning over him. But we like the guy for the show because he used to be the host of Soul Train. That's got to count for something.
2. Reba McEntire
The ginger haired country diva has no need for the additional celebrity that Dancing with the Stars can add, but her attitude, charisma, and age defying aptitude would make her the perfect selection.
1. Luke Bryan
For now and forever, Luke Bryan should now be referred to as "The Untouchable Luke Bryan". The far and away top vote getter in our polls had enough fan support that he could probably win the series in week one if he were chosen.
